Recently, the much popular Metallica heavy metal group officially announced the closure of their partnership with the Warner music group. The band has collected his master recordings and is now set to take the driver seat. They have formed their new independent label, Blackened Recordings. Now, the band will cover up all the future projects under Blackened Recordings. They will also deal with the marketing and promotion of their own label.
The frontman of the band, James Hetfield thanked Warner Music group for 28 years of their friendly relationship since the year 1994. Drummer Lars Ulrich quoted this independent approach of the band as a way to their creative destiny. Blackened Recordings will serve as the home for all the audio and video tracks in future. The label will debut on December 12, with ‘Quebec Magnetic’, a DVD of the band’s concert in Toronto in the year 2009.
Metallica has always been one of the top choices of the people with some of their renowned albums namely ‘Master of Puppets’, ‘The Black Album’, ‘St. Anger’,‘Death Magnetic’. With the creation of their independent record level, the band has acquired the rights to all their future studio albums.
At present, the band is working on the 10th album of band that is scheduled to release next to next year. This particular studio album will be released under the band’s own home, Blackened Recordings.
